IT Senior Security Analyst

Safeguarding digital frontiers and transforming cybersecurity landscapes requires a strategic approach. As an IT Senior Security Analyst at CareerBox, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our security architecture, deploying cutting-edge technologies, and spearheading cyber defense initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities

• We implement practical planning and deployment of effective cyber defense and detection technologies to protect our systems from emerging threats.
• You will collaborate with IT Operations to identify vulnerabilities in identified systems and work towards long-term solutions to ensure seamless operations.
• We formulate and evolve document standards by adhering to industry best practices, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Our enhanced documentation is aligned with industry standards, providing clear insights into security procedures.
• Through data-driven results, we provide detailed reports for use during security assessments, incident analysis, and root cause investigations.
• You will lead remediation recommendations and ensure incident closure and compliance with established protocols.
• We review and enhance evidence collection processes for reporting, compliance, and improvement purposes.
• Networks and connected devices are continuously monitored for potential security issues.
• We proactively respond to and report on DLP, IPS/IDS, ATP, and APT detections, working together to devise remediation actions and improvement plans.
• A mature document trail is maintained through tracking and managing remediation efforts.
• Using formal processes, methods, and standards, we address incident management in a mature manner, ensuring effective remediation, business impact, and root cause analysis.
• Cybersecurity incidents are thoroughly investigated.
• You will aid in documenting security breaches and provide remediation recommendations.
• Security incidents are assessed, and their organizational impact measured.
• We ensure and improve the organization's IT Security and regulatory compliance.
• Effective first-line defense protection solutions are developed and implemented.
• Scheduled sensitive data discovery is implemented and reported against.
• Staying current on IT security trends and news is essential.
• Researching security enhancements and making recommendations to management is crucial.
• Cybersecurity protection and detection systems design, deployment, and enhancement are performed.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• A relevant IT Security certification or equivalent is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT systems engineering is necessary.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT security incident response is required.
• Experience with computer network vulnerability testing tools and techniques is advantageous.
• Experience with vulnerability remediation across various technologies is beneficial.
• A good understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, AV, and IDS/IPS concepts is essential.
• Understanding of Wireless network security and protection mechanisms is desirable.
• Understanding of cybersecurity centric documentation and evidence collection is vital.
• Experience with industry standard InfoSec tools and techniques, such as O365 Security Centre, Mimecast, Qualys, AV, SIEM's, Qualys, and Nessus, is highly regarded.
• Pentest experience and exposure are valuable assets.
