Description

An automotive engineering, one-stop-shop that services heavy transport vehicles
- including refurbishment of engines, transmissions, auto electrical, air brakes, fuel injection, tyres and brakes, overhaul and maintenance
- is in need of an experience Production Foreman to join their team.

Requirements:

Matric or equivalent technical qualification
Trade Test Certificate as
Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Fitter

5 8 Years working experience in an Automotive Engineering Workshop environment.

Experience r
efurbishment of Engines, Gearboxes, Axles, Air Brake Valves, Compressors, Starters, Alternators and General Engineering.
Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills on automotive components i.e. engines, gearbox, axle, differentials etc.

KNOWLEDGE OF

Business Planning Systems.
Quality & Environmental Management systems; manufacturing systems;
Performance Management system;
Relevant Legislations and Motor Industry Agreements.\

Roles and Responsibilities

Assume the responsibility of providing engineering services to other sections of the factory;
Liaise with Stores to procure spares, raw materials, and components required to refurbish automotive components.
Plan and monitor daily production and quality control.
Assume line responsibility of managing staff at his or her sections. These will include managing and monitoring of leave, absenteeism, staff development, training and disciplinary.
Participate in the implementation of Production Management Systems such as ISO 9001 QMS, ISO 14001 EMS, ISO 18001 Health & Safety Management System, and others;
Act as Internal Consultant or an Expert in perform fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of the units at the section; Assist the Technical Manager in developing work flow process sheets, work instructions, and work procedures;
Manage warranties and aftersales activities for units produced.
Responsible for calibrating of all tools used at the section.
Promote and maintain healthy customer relationships.
Resolve customer queries.
MUST HAVE RELEVANT EXPERIENCE.
