    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    The Boilermaker is responsible for preparing, cutting, and assembling materials to meet project specifications. They also handle the assembly of modules, integration of equipment, and address non-conformances during the process.

    1. Manufacture, assemble, integrate, and install plant equipment according to engineering drawings.
    2. Cutting off material using oxy-acetylene cutting torch, plasma torch, guillotine, and angle grinders.
    3. Develop, mark out, bend, and roll sheet metal parts.
    4. Maintain good housekeeping and manage waste effectively.
    5. Acknowledge all health and safety requirements.

    Essential Qualifications

    • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
    • Trade Certificate as a Qualified Boilermaker.
    • At least 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in an explosive environment is advantageous.
    • Strong communication, planning, and organizing skills.
    • Able to work independently, with high levels of organization, punctuality, and self-motivation.
    • Detailed understanding and working knowledge of the manufacturing/fabrication environment.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
    • Experience in planning and implementing work activities.
    • Familiarity with basic welding techniques.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with multiple disciplines both internally and externally.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Basic computer literacy.
