DBA Tech Lead

Our client's Development Teams have an opportunity for a Database Administrator Technical Lead. As a key team member, you will collaborate closely with the Team Lead, planning, designing, and executing technical solutions and improvements within the software development Team.

Key Requirements:

• A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a commercial environment utilizing high transaction databases.
• At least 5 years' experience in MSSQL - all aspects.
• Advanced SQL skills and query writing capabilities.
• Advanced troubleshooting SQL skills.
• Proven experience mentoring other DBAs.

Responsibilities:

You will engage regularly with software architects to ensure development aligns with architectural guidelines. Collaborate with other DBAs/developers and architects to guarantee solutions meet application requirements and performance goals.

• Ensure technical solutions consider compatibility with other environments and dependencies; prioritize usability, reliability, and security.
• Drive process adoption within the team to achieve optimal technical throughput rates, processing times, resource utilization, and operational capacity.
• Deliver complete, technically appropriate solutions covering agreed-upon tasks and user objectives, thoroughly tested.
• Develop quality mechanisms for solutions to analyze faults and provide reports before critical failures occur.
• Design solutions supporting future modifications by DBAs, minimizing defects and preserving system quality.
• Take an active role in problem resolution and work outside regular hours as necessary to resolve issues promptly.
