    Job Summary

    A team lead role that involves guiding the development and implementation of application features, driving business value.

    About the Role

    We are seeking a skilled leader to oversee our software development projects. This individual will be responsible for contributing to architecture decisions, participating in code reviews, and coaching junior developers on best practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of developers in developing and implementing application features that drive business value.
    • Contribute to architecture, instrumentation, and performance decisions.
    • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team and personal learning.
    • Coach software developers on software development best practices.
    • Work with business owners on planning and preparing for new projects.
    • Oversee and coordinate resources and processes required to deliver new software or upgrade existing applications.
    • Take a hands-on role in software development.
    • Work closely with business managers/SMEs to identify requirements for new software applications.
    • Identify skills needed for each development project and prepare a resourcing plan.
    • Organize training programs and monitor team members' performance against strategic targets, providing mentoring or training as necessary.
    • E nsure teams have access to necessary resources, such as computing systems and development environments.

    Requirements

    • Appropriate degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, Engineering, Information Systems, Commerce, or other relevant qualification at NQF7 level.
    • 10+ years of experience in the ICT industry.
    • 5+ years of experience in the Justice cluster.
    • 8+ years of experience in managing .NET and mobile development projects.

    Added Advantage

    • Experience in SOA-based Application Architecture principles.
