As part of our continued expansion, we are on the lookout for a Cloud Technical Specialist (IC3-G6) to join our Systems Operations Private Cloud team based in South Africa.

The successful individual will join the Global team currently spread across Europe & North America in the implementation and support of Cloud Services for external customers.

Performing as a member of the cloud hosting team to support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, recovery, modification, and upgrading of Continent 8 Cloud platforms and components to provide services that enable the systems to be highly available.

• Producing reusable, efficient, and scalable programs, and also costeffective migration strategies
• Developing and designing New Cloud Products
• Identifying and improving tasks and projects to develop existing cloud environments
• Leading and managing deployments of cloud infrastructure for new and existing customers
• Ensuring operations of existing internal and external cloud solutions
• Establishing, developing, and improving existing processes
• AWS environment assessments and design improvement
• Planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS cloud infrastructure
• Building, releasing, and managing the configuration of all production systems
• Managing a continuous integration and deployment methodology for serverbased technologies
• Working alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services
• Ensuring necessary system security by using best in class cloud security solutions
• Staying current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company
• Implementing continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary
• Recommending process and architecture improvements
• Overseeing preproduction acceptance testing to ensure the high quality of a company's services and products
• Technical documentation and KB upkeep
• Designing and developing web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S
• Maintaining standard operating procedures
• Capacity reporting and maintenance
• Driving operational efficiency
• Creating internal project to improve process or operations

• 5 years + leveraging AWS, Azure or GCP platform services in a hands-on capacity
• 3 years + Architecture

• 5 years MS or Linux support
• Good scripting capability (Python, YAML, Ansible, PowerShell, bash or Terraform)
• Ability to do technical documentation
• Worked on large complex Cloud projects
