Key work output and accountabilities:


  • Manage patient care according the scope of practice and assume total responsibility for these actives.
  • Ensure an appropriate nursing plan for all patients
  • Carry out duties as assigned by the Shift Leader or Unit Manager
  • Communicate regularly with healthcare professionals on patient status
  • Mentor and supervise junior and support staff
  • Always ensure appropriate level of care
  • Manage stock in the unit
  • Report and action potential or actual risks identified
  • Always uphold professional conduct and standards
  • Promote and maintain good interpersonal relationships

Minimum requirements to apply:


  • Relevant nursing qualification (Diploma /B Cur Degree)
  • Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse
  • Relevant specialist qualification (Critical Care Diploma) is essential
  • Relevant experience in the nursing discipline is essential

Market related
