    The Solution Consultant team is a strategic partner to the sales organization, responsible for building a compelling vision of the Workday solution for our customers and prospects worldwide. Our culture is the foundation of how we work together and hold each other accountable.

    About the Role

    Workday seeks a Technical Presales Specialist to join our specialized Solution Consulting team, supporting and promoting the technical aspect of selling engagements.

    This role involves representing and selling the next generation of ERP cloud applications. Through interactive discoveries, you will analyze an organization's needs and demonstrate how Workday's Enterprise Applications address their requirements and solve strategic business concerns with a focus on technical integration into the existing IT landscape. Expect presenting to various levels of IT, demonstrating functionality in Workday, and building rapid prototypes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Articulate the value and expand adoption of the Workday platform (including acquired products) to different buyer stakeholders/C-Levels, particularly CIOs.
    • Centre of Excellence for technical topics on Workday Extend, Strategic Sourcing, and Planning.
    • Describe the technical architecture of Workday solutions.
    • Highlight the advantages of a cloud-based SaaS offering vs traditional on-premise installations.
    • Discuss the fit and value of Workday's Extend offering for potential buyer use cases.
    • Create an engaging experience for technically oriented audiences.
    • Understand and communicate Security, Data Privacy, Performance, and Support aspects of the Workday SaaS offering.

    About You

    Candidates interested in joining the Workday Solution Consulting team as an Enterprise Architect should exhibit a strong combination of technical skills, industry experience, and stage presence. Articulating and differentiating Workday's technical foundation and delivery model requires:

    • 3+ years of software/IT presales experience.
    • A strong technical knowledge including Java scripting, Python, data modelling skills, or modern programming languages, along with REST/SOAP APIs for integrations.
    • Software as a Service work experience and/or knowledge of the delivery model and associated characteristics.
    • Comprehensive security background covering encryption technologies, network architectures, communications security, SAML, and application level access methods.
    • Experience working with prospect/customer internal security and compliance teams.
    • Ability to communicate a technical foundation, platform, and delivery model in a compelling, creative, and easily understandable fashion for diverse audiences.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 4+ years of expertise with technical knowledge of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Cloud Architectures; preferably in ERP Financials and/or Human Capital Management domains.
    • 4+ years' experience presenting to technical, business, and executive audiences both in-person and virtually.
