    Description

    Production Supervisor

    Salary: R30 000 – R35 000CTC

    Location: Johannesburg South

    Minimum Requirements:

    • At least 10 years of production experience in the steel industry
    • Management Experience will be advantageous
    • Matric/Grade 12 with excellent math skills.
    • Relevant degree/Diploma will be advantageous.
    • Management courses or degrees will be advantageous.

    Duties:

    • Ensuring orders are processed within the SLA's.
    • Manage and reduce scrap.
    • Effective handling of and closing of NCR's
    • Updating the production schedule
    • Production/Processing
    • House Keeping
    • WIP Area's maintained
    • Feedback on production achieved and challenges. Detailed shift Report
    • Legal Compliance Training of employees
    • Ensuring that employees are adhering to the company disciplinary code.
    • Cost Control
    • Uptime Of Machines
    • First Line Maintenance
    • Time and Attendance of Employees
    • Control Of Overtime
    • Packing Material and Pallets always available
    • Control Of Consumable's
    • Training and Testing of Employees
    • Processing Lines always Manned
    • Quality
    • Safety
    • Assisting with stock take and planning.
    • Managing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
    • Evaluating employee's performance and giving feedback
    • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement
    • Analyze production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
    • Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision.
    • Monitoring employee productivity
    • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.
    • Advising customers on their completed orders
    • Handling customer queries and reporting back efficiently.
    • Informing customers of quality issues and giving feedback to production efficiently
    • Interact with other teams including sales, finance, logistics and supply chain.
