    We are seeking a skilled Senior Communications Strategist to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans to support the company's business objectives.

    About the Role

    This is a permanent full-time position based in Maitland, South Africa. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in strategic communication, with experience in managing cross-geography communications, media relations, and branding.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to achieve business objectives;
    • Manage and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, including senior leaders, employees, and external partners;
    • Provide communications advice and support to senior leaders on key announcements, crises, and reputation management;
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute communications campaigns, including digital channels;
    • Establish and manage traditional and digital communication channels to engage with stakeholders;
    • Brand and campaign experience, as well as experience in managing external suppliers to deliver communications/branding briefs;

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in strategic communication, with a proven track record of accomplishment;
    • Grade 12 and degree or equivalent communications qualification (preferred but not essential);
    • Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to write for various media;
    • Highly customer-focused, with the capability to work to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment;
    • Broad understanding of current and future communications, branding, and engagement tools and techniques;

    Salary and Benefits

    The salary for this role is R850,000 per annum, plus benefits, which include medical aid, provident fund, and annual leave.
