USED/PRE-OWNED VEHICLE SALES MANAGER

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Used Car Sales Manager to lead our sales team in Polokwane. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and buying stock, managing the sales process, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing and buying stock to meet sales requirements.
Maximizing sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and retention.
Developing the sales organization to meet sales and profitability objectives.
Ensuring cost control within the department.
Reviewing pricing policies and discounts to maintain dealership profitability.
Monitoring financial performance of the sales department weekly.
Resolving customer complaints efficiently.
Ensuring vehicle delivery meets OEM quality and safety standards.
Meting departmental customer satisfaction targets.
Managing direct and indirect costs within company parameters.
Providing new model launch training to Sales Executives.
Establishing staffing levels and required training to achieve sales objectives.
Monitoring floorplan activities.
Maintaining stock levels within company policy requirements.
Maximizing back-end product sales.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years' experience in vehicle sales within the motor industry.
Relevant experience in used car sales is essential.
Track record of accurate vehicle valuations and pricing adjustments.
Prior experience in sales management, leading and motivating a sales team to achieve objectives.
A previous successful sales track record.
Solid track record of sourcing and buying stock, evaluating vehicles, and sales compliance management.

Qualifications:

Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
A relevant tertiary qualification NQF6+ (e.g. sales/marketing/business management) is an added advantage.

Other Requirements:

Valid, unendorsed driver's license.
Computer literacy in MS Office and dealer lead management system.
Knowledge of dealership policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the competitive motor industry.

Communication skills (spoken and written business communication).
Interpersonal skills (building rapport).
Sales management and marketing skills, knowledge, and experience in the retail automotive context.
Business acumen/commercial astuteness.
Relationship management with OEM and other stakeholders.
Customer service management.
