We are recruiting for leading FMCG Company based in Sandton and we are currently seeking a talented and driven Internal Audit Data Analyst to join their team.

As an Internal Audit Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the internal audit function by providing insightful analysis of data to identify trends and patterns, and drive effective decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyse large data sets from various sources to support internal audit objectives
  • Interpret data, identify trends and patterns, and create reports that provide insights to support potential areas of risk or noncompliance.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal audit team and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide support for datadriven audit planning, testing, and monitoring activities
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Maintain documentation on data sources, methodologies, and analytical techniques
  • Develop and implement data analytics procedures to support continuous monitoring and risk assessment activities.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the annual audit plan, including risk assessment, audit scope, and datadriven audit strategies.
  • Communicate datadriven insights, findings, and recommendations to management and stakeholders through clear and concise written and verbal reports.
  • Support internal auditors in the planning, execution, and reporting of audit engagements by providing datadriven insights and analysis.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and track progress in addressing identified weaknesses and deficiencies using datadriven techniques.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in internal auditing, data analytics, and financial reporting.
  • Participate in special projects, investigations, and process improvement initiatives as required.
  • Perform adhoc tasks assigned by management.
Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Internal Audit or a related field.
  • A minimum of 35 years of relevant experience in data analysis, internal auditing, or a similar role.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis or related field
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Excel)
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and concisely present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with internal audit concepts, standards, and methodologies, risk management practices, and financial reporting regulations is highly desirable. Certifications such as CIA, CISA are a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights.
  • A proactive and selfdriven approach to problemsolving, with a strong focus on delivering results. Vehicle and valid drivers licence.
  • Valid Passport.
