Description

We are seeking an Electrical Technician for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape.

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with Trade Test as an electrician and at least 10 years factory experience
Able to design / build electrical control circuits (starters, motors, protection)
Able to install, repair, program and maintain AC / DC variable speed drives and motors
Advanced knowledge of PLC programming and instrument control system
Wireman's license of certificate of installations are also added advantageous
Knowledge of HT transformers, HT switching, and power factor correction preferred
Own transport for after hours work when required
Prepared to work weekends, overtime and shift when required

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out
Respond to work and breakdown request and orders
Fill in daily timesheets, and reports
Carry out small development projects, modifications, additions, and alterations to plant / machinery
Carry out safety programme as required
Adherence to OHS Act and SHE Act
Carry out annual shutdown maintenance to plant / machinery
Perform general engineering workshop duties

Salary:
R R per month basic
