Description

Reporting to the Group Leader in the Assembly Department, you will fulfil the necessary requirements within the Department to meet the Company's objectives by providing effective leadership to ensure a motivated team and a workstation that enables the manufacture of high quality and cost-efficient boats.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintain quality and adhere to quality standards at all times.
Maintain stable productiondelivery.
Manage time and attendance.
Task assignment to team members.
Achievement of health and safety standards.
Implement appropriate corrective action where necessary.
Update reports on required build schedule.
Reduce defects per unit at hand over of parts.
Ensure build cycle requirements are met.

REQUIREMENTS:

Have a thorough understanding of the quality condition within the company.
Work to a fixed Production Schedule.
Able to understand Drawings.
Have a handson approach on all issues of Carpentry in Assembly

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum: NQF Level 4 qualification (full qualification not certificate).
Ideal: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Production Management/Engineering or related field.
Experience: At least 23 yrs. production related experience.
Thorough knowledge and experience of all Carpentry aspects.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Able to work weekends and overtime.
Display initiative and lead by example.
Have a thorough understanding of the quality condition within the company.
Work to a fixed Production Schedule.

COMPETENCIES:
