    Job Description

    Key Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering
    • Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
    • Registration with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) is advantageous
    • At least 10 years of experience in contract administration as an engineer, principal agent, or similar position
    • Experience working as a Contract Engineer on SANRAL projects is non-negotiable
    • Thorough knowledge of Conditions of Contract (FIDIC 1999, NEC 2010/2015, and JBCC)
    • Proficient understanding of specifications and Bills of Quantities (COLTO/COTO, SANA 1200, project-specific, etc.)
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills required
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong client relations skills

    In addition to the above, applicants are required to submit their experience from three recent projects (completed within the last 10 years), which meet all the parameters outlined below.

    Relevant Experience

    • The applicant must have experience in at least one of the following positions:
      • Contract Engineer
      • Project Leader
      • Contract Engineer (Toll)
      • Contract Manager (Toll)
      • Resident Engineer (less preferred)
    • The experience should be with clients who are either South African National Roads or Concessionaires or Provincial Authorities. Please indicate the relevant client body for each of the three projects.
