    Sales Manager Position at Taj Cape Town

    We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and maximize hotel sales.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing to increase revenues by maximizing contribution from MICE & Production segments.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to source new business and maintain relationships with current clients.
    • Promote and actively sell hotel services to increase sales and customer retention.
    • Maximize total hotel revenues through effective sales management.
    • Handle key segment accounts and generate revenue through targeted sales efforts.
    • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS with Production Houses, Groups Conferences and Incentives accounts through regular sales calls and meetings.
    • Stay informed about hospitality trends, customer needs, and industry developments.
    • Host client events and site inspections to promote the hotel's capabilities.
    • Ensure accurate and timely sales reporting.
    • Foster a sales process that converts leads into bookings and repeat business.

    Required Experience and Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the travel, tourism, or hotel industry.
    • Proven track record in Production & MICE Segmentation.
    • Solid relationships within these segments.
    • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
    • Certificate or Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Hotel Management.
    • Valid Driver's Licence and vehicle for day-to-day travel.
    • 5 Years of experience in a similar position.

    Compensation Package

    • Market-related package plus annual performance bonus.
