Johannesburg South, Johannesburg - Gauteng - South Africa

Reporting to Site & Plant Manager with 16.2 Responsibilities & Plant Audits.

You will be required to establish and maintain the health and safety of the plant workforce by monitoring and evaluating health and safety conditions and assuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures and governmental standards.

Developing and administering effective occupational health, safety, ergonomics and industrial hygiene programs, including health services functions and maintenance of related policies and procedures in accordance with Operating Systems and OHSAS 14001/18001/9001 and ISO /TS 16949 requirements would be advantageous.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Health & Safety Diploma essential
Chemical Eng. Dip. Advantageous
Good understanding of local and Governmental Regulations, as well as Process Safety background.
Construction Safety Knowledge is advantageous.
Must be Shopfloor orientated, and work well with blue collar and Site Engineers.
Can generate a Safety Culture & Behaviour amongst the Staff.
Ability to have a handson approach, handle high levels of Stress, and work independently.
Take Ownership and accountability for KPI & TTI (Targets to Improve).
