    Requirements:
    • Tertiary qualification preferable; viz. BCom / NDip in Supply Chain Management.
    • Experience working in a fast paced environment; viz. ideally in the FMCG or perishable foods environment.
    • Extensive Warehousing, Inventory Management as well as independent knowledge on ERPs, WMSs and experience with HACCP, ISO45001, 50001 & 9000 will be highly recommended.
    • This position requires the utmost attention to detail, time management and prioritisation skills.
    • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
    • Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
    • Must be available to work overtime (as required) and weekends (every second weekend).

    Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
    • Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
    • Review and prepare work schedules, staffing requirements, space allocations, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, safety, quality, and customer service.
    • Maintain HSE and Food Safety in the work environment by establishing and enforcing procedures and standards and complying with legal regulations.
    • Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory integrity.
    • To assist and support the Warehouse Controller in duties such as ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct.
    • Maintain proper warehousing and inventory control.
    • Ensuring correct put-aways and picking of inventory for dispatch and ensuring that put away and picking assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.
    • Assist the Warehouse Controller in general asset management, SHEQ checklists, preparation for any and all external supplier audits and maintenance / compliance of procedures / processes.
