    Job Opportunity for Admin Manager in Westrand Area

    Manage company administration policies and procedures to ensure store profitability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist Store Manager with trading routine duties and optimize store operations.
    • Manage goods in transit according to Dis-Chem procedures.
    • Reduce branch shrinkage and consumables expense within store objectives.
    • Encourage new loyalty signups and report results.
    • Facilitate human resource processes, submissions, and documentation for the business unit.
    • Take ownership of the workforce management system (KRONOS).
    • Implement and execute company performance management systems.
    • Manage store cash resources, daily takings.
    • Ensure transaction integrity through effective monitoring and evaluation of internal control procedures.
    • Manage cashier service levels and productivity rates.
    • Manage goods receiving function, direct and indirect credits function, and mentor staff members.
    • Ensure transaction integrity for incoming goods receipts and outgoing returns.
    • Assist with budget preparation and maintenance within the store.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12/Matric
    • Minimum 3 years' retail experience in Receiving, Front shop operations, Customer Service, Human Resource Management, and store administration
    • Minimum 2 years' management experience of a staff complement of around 8
    • Computer literate – MS Office
    • Willing and able to work retail hours

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Financial/Administration/Retail/Business Management: Diploma/Degree
    • Working knowledge of SAP with regard to operating and utilizing retail operation systems

    Competencies:

    • Store retail admin and management experience, relating to receiving, capturing, till operations, cash office, and customer service
    • Strong command of the English language
    • Basic financial skills - GP, mark-up, VAT, etc.
    • Effective interaction with suppliers, management, reps, and staff
    • Strong analytical skills and time management

    Special Conditions of Employment:

    • Willing and able to work retail hours
    • Local travelling – valid driver's license and own reliable transport
    • South African Citizen
    • Clear credit and criminal records
