We have an exciting opportunity to join our finance team, as a committed and experienced management accountant based in our Cape Town offices.

This is a full-time role. The successful applicant will contribute to all the accounting procedures across the Client's companies.

Based in the United Kingdom (UK) and provide bespoke insurance, protection, and assistance products to UK clients.


With many years of experience in the insurance industry, our markets include traditional BTE Insurance, Emergency Assistance, Conveyancing Insurance, ATE Insurance and bespoke Insured Protection options.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Produce and assist in the production of monthly management accounts for LPG and other associated companies.
  • Assist with the production of the financial and statutory accounts.
  • Assist and review monthly reporting.
  • Creating, approval and posting of all relevant journals to the relevant ledgers.
  • Assist on the banking system.
  • Review of working schedules and analysis for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Preparation of more complex working schedules and analysis for internal and external reporting purposes.
  • Contribute to cashflow forecasts and rolling forecasts including variance analysis.
  • Assist in Quarterly IPT returns.
  • Raise invoices and fees as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls for your responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the nominal ledgers and supporting schedules.
  • Other ad hoc duties, projects, cover as required.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Be a qualified or part qualified accountant, (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, SAICA or equivalent).
  • Have evidence of continued personal and professional development.
  • Have 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Have experience of the preparation of accounts and budgets,
  • Have experience of financial management
  • Have proficiency with spreadsheet and accounting software.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be selfmotivated.
  • Be able to work well within a remote team environment.

ADVANTAGEOUS:


  • Knowledge of using SAGE accounting
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry

REMUNERATION:

Market rate depending on experience.

Experience:


  • Accounting: 2 years (required)
  • Xero, QuickBooks and
Microsoft Excel: 2 years (required)
