My client a company located on the West Coast Saldanha / Vredenburg is looking to employ a Storeman to join their team as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Stock Controller. To qualify for this position the most suitable candidate must fulfill the following requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification as per the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
• A qualification in Storekeeping or Materials/Procurement Management will be advantageous
• Minimum 3 years experience in Storekeeping in a technical/heavy industrial environment
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft office. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be willing and able to perform standby duties and work extended hours
• Must have a valid drivers license to perform standby duties and get to work
• The ability to operate forklift and overhead crane will be an added advantage.
• Must be declared medically fit as per the man job specifications.

Basic/Brief Responsibilities will include:

• Goods Receiving and Issuing
• Document Control and Administration
• Data Capturing
• Stock Control and Management for re-ordering
• Stock Take
• Record Keeping
• Housekeeping and safety

In addition to the above the successful candidate must also have the following attributes: Positive with energetic attitude; highly self-motivated; good verbal and written communication skills; good "work ethic"; good time management skills; sober habits; be able to work effectively and accurately without supervision and in a team.
