    Job Description
    The Business Development Manager will drive business growth, expand market presence, and identify new opportunities for revenue generation in the Gauteng Province and KwaZulu-Natal regions.
    This role is crucial for launching and growing the sales business for our range of product software and services that enable golf clubs to manage their operations efficiently, driving long-term sustainability and revenue for our business within the region.
    The primary territories for this role will be within the Gauteng Province and KwaZulu-Natal regions.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Relationship Building and Management: Leading to new customer acquisition and further developing existing accounts to increase revenue by product adoption and upselling.
    2. Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Analyzing and developing a full understanding of market requirements, competitive landscape, and our sales philosophy and products.
    3. Go-to-Market Strategy: Build and develop a go-to-market strategy to drive acquisition and growth, leveraging technical tools and quantitative data.
    4. Product Knowledge and Presentations: Acquire advanced product knowledge and competitive awareness to conduct presentations and negotiations that differentiate our products and services as a technical and commercial solution for potential customers.
    5. Networking and Lead Generation: Build and leverage a strong network within and across the industry, identifying potential new customers and engaging with prospects to promote and demonstrate our products and services.
    6. Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate across internal teams to ensure customer success and achievement of business goals.
    7. Strategic Sales Initiatives: Contribute and collaborate with senior management in the planning, rollout, and delivery of strategic sales initiatives.
    8. Results-Focused Performance: Meeting and/or exceeding individual and department metrics and goals, exercising accountability, proactivity, and a strong work ethic.
    9. Salesforce and Data Analysis: Daily use of Salesforce, to maintain and record all customer activity, create sales orders, report and analyze market data.
    10. Ambassador Role: Acting as an ambassador for the business, participating on behalf of the company in exhibitions, conferences, and/or events to build accelerating sales or build your profile.
    11. Culture and Values: Engaging with colleagues internationally to understand and support the growth of a positive company culture in your region, ensuring that core values and good sportsmanship behaviors are consistently demonstrated.


    Qualifications:

    Essential:

    1. 5+ years of professional experience in sales and/or account management in a SaaS environment, promoting web/cloud/mobile-based products in a relevant industry (e.g. Sports/Leisure/Hospitality).
    2. Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM.
    3. Own a car and hold a valid SA driver's license.
    4. Consultative selling approach.
    5. A proven track record of successful business development and acquiring new customers.
    6. A good understanding of the game of golf, its practices, and environment.
    7. Excellent communication and presentation skills demonstrated in both virtual and face-to-face client engagement settings.
    8. A self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and a proven track record of achieving targets and objectives.
    9. Collaborative and adaptable with experience of working in conjunction with multiple teams.
    10. Experience in analyzing, collecting, and presenting data to support proposals to current and potential clients.
    11. A proactive, positive attitude/approach.
    12. Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication.
    13. Willingness and ability to travel between Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal as required to build relationships and drive business development.

    Desirable:

    1. Relevant tertiary degree (e.g. Business/Sales/Marketing/IT).
    2. Experience working in the golf industry or with golf-related technology.
    3. Established network of relationships with golf professionals, golf clubs, industry bodies, or sports organizations.
    4. Experience launching new products into markets.
    5. Proficiency in Afrikaans to enhance communication with a diverse client base would be advantageous.
    6. In-depth knowledge of the Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal markets, including key stakeholders, potential partners, and competitors.
    7. Strong technical understanding with a high level of comfort in using web-based cloud applications.
    8. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
