    Job Description

    The Club Coach Quality Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of the SmartStart programme. This includes leading the onboarding process for new coaches, conducting regular training sessions, and supporting the delivery of annual coach gatherings.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Onboarding and Training: Lead the onboarding process for new coaches, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles in the field. Conduct regular training sessions to build deeper understanding and integrity to the SmartStart programme.
    • Quality Assurance and In-field Support: Contribute to the continual redesign and improvement of quality assurance processes for coaches. Conduct in-field coaching and quality assurance visits to improve the quality of club coaching practice across the network.
    • Recording, Reporting, and Reflecting: Record and report appropriately on in-field activities, including support provided to coaches. Contribute to the coach individual development plan and update the club coach dashboard.

    Requirements

    • Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience in Early Childhood Development (ECD) sector or education, with a focus on coaching networks for ECD practitioners or educational workers.
    • Skills: Excellent training, coaching, and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to work with diverse teams. Experience as a SmartStart club coach is required, with experience as team leader being an added benefit.

    Competencies

    • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role. The ability to build relationships with coaches and foster a collaborative and productive work environment is critical.
    • Organizational and Planning Abilities: High level of organizational and planning abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.

    General Skills

    • Problem-Solving Skills: Good planning and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving objectives.
    • Relationship Building: Ability to build relationships with coaches, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

    This is an entry-level, full-time position within the Education Administration Programs industry.
