    About the Project/Change Communication Specialist Role

    This is a 6-12 month contract position.

    Key Requirements

    • A minimum of a matric certificate (Grade 12)
    • A relevant degree or diploma, preferably in communications or a related field such as a Bachelors degree NQF4 equivalent

    Job Responsibilities

    1. Communication Planning: Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand project goals and objectives, and develop a comprehensive communication plan tailored to the unique needs of the project.
    2. Develop key messages and identify suitable communication channels for project-related information, both internally and externally.
    3. Assess client communications platforms and align them to meet project stakeholder needs.
    4. Ensure timely adherence to the communication approval process and deadlines.
    5. Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and analyze project stakeholders, including both internal and external parties.
    6. Develop strategies for engaging and communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, while managing relationships to ensure their information needs are met.
    7. Content Creation: Develop and manage content for project updates, newsletters, emails, and presentations, writing clear, concise, and engaging communication materials for various stakeholders.
    8. Coordinate with project team members to gather relevant information and updates.
    9. Internal and External Communication: Keep the project team well-informed about project progress, changes, and key decisions, using effective internal communication tools and platforms to enhance team collaboration.
    10. Streamline communication efforts by coordinating with internal departments.
    11. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the effectiveness of communication strategies and make adjustments as needed, providing regular reports on project communications and their impact on project goals.
    12. Analyze feedback to improve communication processes and provide guidance and support related to communications gaps and issues.
