At Express Employment Professionals (Witbank), we are seeking a highly skilled Safety Compliance Specialist to join our team.

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines, advising on safety topics, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing preventative measures to create a safe workplace.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development of OHS policies and programs.
• Advise and instruct employees on various safety-related topics.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
• Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
• Initiate and organize OHS training for employees and executives.
• Inspect premises and work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
• Oversee installations, maintenance, and disposal of substances.
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle workers' compensation claims.
• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
• Conduct health and safety audits.
• Identify potential hazards, risks, and dangers.
• Investigate incidents.
• Make recommendations regarding health and safety.
• Conduct inspections.
• Attend health and safety committee meetings.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12.
• Valid driver's license.
• Safety representative qualifications.
• 3-5 years of working experience in the safety environment.
