POSITION:
Attorney - Contracts (6 months' contract)

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Directors: Contracts by the review and drafting of contracts for Clients including but not limited to:
international collaboration agreements local collaboration agreement research agreements funding agreements lease agreements non-disclosure agreements data processing agreements. lease agreements

  • Assist the Directors: Contracts with legal advice pertaining to any terms and conditions contained in contracts and/or enquiries received from Clients
  • Attend weekly internal meetings with the General Counsel as well as colleagues who are reviewing and drafting contracts
  • Update and submit weekly reports to the Directors: Contracts
  • Attend weekly meetings with Clients to provide updates on contracts
  • Attend meetings with Clients on request and/or when required to obtain further information to review and/or draft a contract
  • Submit weekly timesheets to the Directors: Contracts

Qualifications & Experience required:

  • LLB or equivalent degree
  • Admitted attorney or advocate
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in legal practice (as attorney or advocate) at an appropriate level with highest level of proficiency in contracts law and commercial principles
