Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified quality, costs and lead times

Ensure the Procurement Manager system (SAP/Syspro) is up to date with the relevant commercial information.
Drive continuous cost saving initiative through alternate sourcing and strong negotiations (Projects based procurement)
Support continual business improvement and change management
Support in the incubation and development of suppliers to mitigate supply risk.
To cover and Stand in for other Procurement Functions as required
Negotiate better contracts with existing suppliers as well as sourcing new suppliers
Identifying project scopes, schedules and costs
Analyzing and improving supply chain operations
Projecting industry trends to implement appropriate responses and contingency measures
Comply with Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards
Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures and practices
Comply with company and group procurement policies
Comply to the delegation of authority framework
Participate in BBBEE initiatives in line with Group BBBEE Policy
Creating purchase orders for nonstock and stock items
Contract generation for local and international suppliers

Qualifications & Experience:

Tertiary qualification in Purchasing & Procurement
Engineering and Supply Chain Management qualifications will be advantageous
35 years' experience in Contractual Procurement, Data Analytics & Handling of Import documentation
Ability to analyse and interpret data and present trends
