Maintenance Manager

We are looking to employ a dedicated and reliable maintenance manager to maintain our facilities and perform regular cleaning tasks.

The maintenance manager's responsibilities include maintaining the buildings and property, overseeing the work of contracted vendors as required, as well as attending training, safety programs, and staff meetings.

You should also be able to prepare accurate repair and cleaning reports.

This person will also work closely with our housekeeping team to ensure rooms are arrival ready and maintained at a five-star level.

To be successful as a maintenance manager, you should be hard-working, have good hand-eye coordination, and able to lift heavy objects as required.

Ultimately, an exceptional maintenance manager should be able to safely operate hand and power tools as well as demonstrate excellent problem-solving and time management skills.

Minimum Criteria:

2 or more years' experience in a similar role
Plans, organizes, directs and controls all activities of the Maintenance and Garden Department.
Maintains in good working conditions all electrical and mechanical installations and equipment; ensures regular service is undertaken.
Ensures proper upkeep of all grounds, exterior, and public areas in clean, neat and presentable state of repair; this includes all guest rooms, spa facilities and function rooms.
Understands all installations such as water supply (hot and cold), electricity supply and power generation in order to shut them down in an emergency.
To understand the electronical supplies such as fibre and computer connection, fire alarm system, etc. to protect and isolate them before calling for support.
Assisting and planning of inhouse projects and/or new developments on the estate.
Administers, controls the Maintenance/Garden department regarding working rosters, purchases and quotations, etc.
Ability to work well in a team.
