Maintenance Planner Manufacturing

Durban - Kwa Zulu Natal - South Africa

Our client operating in the manufacturing sector offers an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner.

Reporting directly to the Reliability Coordinator, this role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and safe maintenance practices in alignment with technical standards.

Your expertise can make a significant impact on operations.

Essential Requirements:

Matric qualification and a minimum of N5 in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or an equivalent recognised technical qualification.
Recognised Trade test advantageous.
5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in heavy engineering.
5 years of experience in shutdown planning and weekly plant maintenance planning.
Proficiency in SAP PM and MS Project.
Strong computer literacy.

Key Performance Areas:

Define comprehensive maintenance methodologies based on priorities, required skills, resources, and supervision.
Coordinating the procurement of necessary materials, including spare parts.
Optimise resource utilisation through capacity planning.
Gather and manage equipment specifications and bill of materials.
Efficiently manage work order backlog to prevent recurring failures.
Plan and allocate resources for plant outages effectively.
