    Mission of the Role

    • You act as an ambassador to manage the external environment and enhance the reputation of Siemens Mobility in South Africa.
    • You shape the future: observe the market and identify, manage, and execute business opportunities according to Corporate Mobility strategies.
    • You execute: propose, agree on, and implement local strategy and are accountable for business increase in South Africa.
    • You build organizational talent: create a work environment where people can realize their full potential.

    Responsibilities

    • Represent Siemens Mobility to customers, suppliers, government, and media.
    • Direct and control activities to achieve short and long-term financial and operating objectives.
    • Develop the business of Siemens Mobility in South Africa by anticipating market developments.
    • Set the highest priority on EHS and compliance.
    • Grow revenue and margin for Siemens Mobility.
    • Commit Siemens Mobility BUs and affiliated companies to commercial terms and conditions.
    • Statutory accountability for the legal entity representing Siemens Mobility in South Africa.
    • Coach, guide, and develop a team of senior managers.
    • Manage customer relations to provide customer feedback.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Engineering or similar field.
    • 5-10 years of management experience in relevant market segments.
    • Deep knowledge about the railway industry and its implications.
    • Strong leadership experience with people and stakeholder management accountability.
    • Experience in redefining customer requirements into beneficial business models.
    • Familiarity with large infrastructure projects and project management requirements.
    • Clear understanding of aligning business models to the wider SMO strategy.
    • High level of intercultural sensitivity and ability to deal confidentially with senior managers.
    • Excellent English language skills, in addition to other languages.
