    Description

    Senior Engineer Role

    Oversee construction projects and tenders, managing a 1MW PV Solar Farm project in the D.R. Congo from conception to commissioning.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Project Planning and Execution: Manage projects within timelines, quality standards, and constraints.
    2. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work with design engineers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to align with goals and regulations.
    3. Site Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct site visits, assessments, and technical evaluations for optimal solar farm construction solutions.
    4. FAT Participation: Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing on behalf of the client when required.
    5. Risk Management: Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
    6. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
    7. Jr. Engineer Training: Train Junior Engineers involved in the project.
    8. Tendering and Business Development: Tender for various power projects and identify opportunities in the power sector.
    9. Project Lifecycle Management: Plan, execute, and manage solar energy and power infrastructure projects from start to finish.
    10. Technical Expertise: Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical expertise on systems and design optimization.
    11. Ongoing Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
    2. National Diploma: Electrical Engineering, Construction Management (minimum)
    3. 10+ years' experience in project management, preferably in electrical EPC
    4. Knowledge in LV/MV/HV electrical engineering
    5. Proficiency in MS Project and CAD for solar design
    6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, proactive problem-solving
    7. Fluent in English; French is a plus
    8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and under pressure
    9. Strong computer skills
