    Overview:

    Rory Mackie Associates' client is a seasoned asset management company, licensed and regulated by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC), boasting over 30 years of operation. The firm caters to high-net-worth private clients, family offices, trusts, and institutions, offering bespoke solutions including funds of hedge funds, managed accounts, and an Equity UCITS fund.

    Their global presence, with offices in Guernsey, London, Cape Town, and Singapore, enables them to act as both investment managers and administrators for various managed accounts. A significant portion of their investments involves hedge and alternative assets, allocating capital to unitised third-party hedge funds. Their collective assets under management approximate $3.2 billion.

    This role requires the successful candidate to collaborate closely with a seasoned operations team, providing essential support to the London-based portfolio managers. Responsibilities include day-to-day administration of cash control, subscriptions, and redemptions into relevant funds, processing equity trades, reconciliations, client valuations, and pricing.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Daily Pricing Maintenance
      • Retrieving accurate pricing from sources and ensuring a daily track of prices is maintained; conducting monthly reviews of pricing
    • Client Administration Support
      • Making timely payments, instructing foreign exchanges, and addressing client inquiries
    • Fund Valuations
      • Collaborating with the team on valuation reviews of Funds; reviewing investment restrictions on a monthly basis for the funds
    • Liaison with Fund Administrators and Custodians
      • Ensuring prompt instruction and settlement of trades, transfers, and client instructions
    • Monthly Dealing Cycle
      • Supporting the team during the monthly dealing cycle
    • Confirmation of Funds Received
      • Verifying accurate recording of all cash received and associated source information

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an administration role, preferably with a solid understanding of funds. An investment accounting or unitisation background would be highly advantageous
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training; strong initiative and conscientious attitude
    • Familiarity with trading, banking facilities, forex arrangements, and markets
    • Strong numerical skills and proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel
    • Experience with APX/InvetOne/Fundamentals – i.e., working on investment accounting systems
