    Description

    Job Title: Clinical Governance Quality Leader

    The Clinical Governance Quality Leader assumes a broad level of accountability for the outcomes of care within a specific geographical area.

    This role is responsible for ensuring the improvement of all modalities of clinical outcomes for the area under management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Clinical data collection and report writing
    • Collaboration with operations teams to determine clinical needs and develop interventions
    • Implementation of clinical pathways and bundles of care
    • Provision of continuous training and encouragement of quality improvement
    • Accountability for patient outcomes in a specific geographical area
    • Assistance with data collection and analysis for individual patient outcomes
    • Development of care plans and monitoring progress to improve patient experience and outcomes
    • Assistance with development, review, and revision of clinical policies and procedures
    • Participation in unit-specific education and outcome goal development
    • Benchmarking of unit outcomes and sharing best practices
    • Training and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
    • Quality management program implementation and monitoring
    • Participation in QI meetings to address areas for improvement
    • Collaboration with operations teams to implement and resolve deficiencies
    • Management of special projects regionally
    • Participation in research and student training

    Requirements:

    • Registration with HPCSA or South African Nursing Council
    • MBChB degree in Medicine or Master's degree in Nursing/Clinical Technologist: Nephrology/BMed in Clinical Practice
    • Relevant qualification in specialist area in nephrology preferred
    • Relevant experience in nephrology preferred
    • Project management and improvement methodology experience
    • Extensive travel nationally
