Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Steel Sales Representative to service their existing clients and bring in new business in the greater Durban area.

Minimum Requirements

Matric
Minimum 5 years Steel Sales experience
Industry knowledge, inclusive of procedure driven operations such as IATF1694
Advanced levels of computer proficiency including the full suite of MS Office
Must be able to work in an environment that comply to: ISO 9001, ISO 1400
Must be familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Valid driver's license
Demonstrate highlevels of attention to detail, tenacity, resilience and the ability to work under pressure in an environment which requires multitasking

Responsibilities

Preparation and comprehensive understanding of mill costing and quotations / followup of quotations
Updating of customer prices in line with market adjustments and maintaining organizational targets
Continuous monitoring of stock, to ensure sufficient stock levels without undue shortages
Attending to and closing out of customer complaints
Maintain and growing business with existing customers and cold calling
Stock age analysis feedback on a quarterly basis to Sales Manager
Establish multilevel relationships within key accounts portfolio
Customer visits as required
Manage the order process from inception through to delivery
Manage customer forecasts and expectations
