Job description:

Annual plan and budget
Contribute to the national operations plan from a warehouse perspective, implement the national operations plan within the warehouse department.

• Provide input to the national operations plan regarding the warehouse processes
• Translate the national operations plan into a warehouse plan with SMART objectives for employees
• Ensure communication and understanding of the warehouse plan within the national operations department

Business Excellence

Manage compliance to all security, health and safety policies, in alignment with the Business Excellence department, in order to ensure safe working surroundings for employees and our customers' goods.

• Implement all security, health and safety policies within warehouse and align with Business Excellence
• Ensure clear communication and understanding of policies within direct reports
• Identify possible threats to compliance and ensure optimization.

Manage the execution of warehouse processes, in line with policies, in order to provide customers with high end Freight services.

• Manage the loading, unloading and storage of freight
• Monitor inventories against documentation and manage compliance
• Manage data integrity in inventories documentation systems
• Identify best practices and implement in order ensure optimization of processes

Customer Business Implementation
Implement customer contracts in cooperation with BD in order to ensure customers are provided with excellent freight services.

• Analyze customer needs and translate into SOP for warehouse staff.
• Identify gaps between customer contract and current warehouse facilities and manage complianceLeadership

Steer, develop and motivate direct reports, in line with the global HR policies, individual and company's objectives, to ensure the necessary quality and quantity of staffing for current and future needs.

• Initiate and execute Performance management process, including conducting performance appraisals and midyear reviews
• Identify team and/or individual developmental needs/ opportunities and stimulate and ensure followup and execution
• Demonstrate commitment to Geodis by keeping the team committed to deliver the Business Vision, Mission and Values. Act as ambassador
• Motivate, inspire, develop and engage all direct reports.
• Conduct people interactions timely, in a transparent, approachable and trustworthy manner.
• Communicate on team results on a regular basis. Engage dialogue to keep the communication flowing
• Manage realisation of training programs in cooperation with HR

Applicant's profile:

• Bachelor work and thinking level
• Forklift certification
• Dangerous goods certification
• Fluent in English and local languages an advantage
• Needs preferably 510 years of experience in warehouse process
