The role:


The purpose of this role is to Manage Key Account Retailers in order to build and grow the business with a particular focus on sell-in for Clarins.


What you'll do:


  • Deal with Retailer partners specifically buyers and planners within these organizations in order to maintain and grow business relationship.
  • Ensure new product launches and promotions are implemented smoothly from Retailers placing orders to stores, receiving stock, and optimum sell thru.
  • Weekly order management and analysis, feedback to retail partners on fill rate of each order
  • Meeting with retailers regularly (planners and buyers) to discuss the business plan on how to drive sales.
  • Attend strategy meetings twice a year with retailers giving feedback on current salestrendsd and discussing business opportunities for future in relation to marketing calendar.
  • Pre and poststrategy meetings to go through the next 6 months' marketing plan in order to confirm units offered and sales strategy is in line.
  • Give feedback and update the sales team on an ongoing basis.
  • Attend and participate in internal Demand Review meetings to understand and give insight into forecast by product.
  • Attend and give feedback in the monthly meetings regarding overall performance, including category, product, retailer etc.
  • Assist National Account Manager to update and manage estimate sheet documents in order to determine monthly/weekly sellinsales budget projections by retailer.
  • Ongoing communication with retailer buyers and planners to inform of sellin and promo execution regarding marketing strategy as well as on counter dates and bydoor allocations.
  • Monitoring sellthru sales by retailer and door and giving relevant feedback to retailers and area managers.
  • Utilizing the current business tool on an ongoing basis to analyse, understand and react to sales trends.
  • Attending weekly readiness meetings to update and manage sellin and promotions calendar.
  • Constant evaluation of retailer performance and reacting accordingly with retailer as well as the internal sales team to fix and align.
  • Trade visits monthly to be in touch with BC and Area Manager and identify problems and assist in correcting at Retailer Head Office level.
  • Act as liaison between the Retailer and Area Manager to facilitate among other things out of stock orders etc.
  • Facilitate and manage credits and RTV processes between retailers and Clarins.
  • Ensuring that retailer product catalogue is kept current and ensuring code changes are updated and discontinued items removed as well as follow up to ensure correct codes are being replenished to the correct levels by door.
  • Assisting with various weekly and monthly reports.
  • Set up and communicate stock cover reports to the retailer partners and area managers to identify opportunities and areas of concern.
  • Daily sales report update and file setup.
  • Assist the National Account Manager with budget preparation for each retailer and categories, including reestimates twice a year.
  • Assist to set up and communicate targets by door for GWP's and or specific product focus and updating with actual sales and giving feedback.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

  • Retail and / or a cosmetic background an advantage
  • At least a grade 1
  • Good Planning and Organizational skills
  • Good command of the English language
  • Strong finance acumen
  • Excellent analytical skills coupled with attention to detail and advanced problemsolving skills
  • Dependable
  • Cope with pressure and deadlines
