My client in the financial services sector has an opportunity for a
Chief Internal Auditor to join their team, this is the ideal role for a Senior Internal Audit Manager looking for the next step in their career.

The incumbent will establish, direct, oversee and deliver the overall audit approach and resulting plans for the organization.

This role is a member of the senior management team and attends the Executive Committee (EXCO) and Risk Management Meeting (RMM).


Requirements:


  • Chartered Accountant / Certified Internal Auditor / B.Com (Internal Auditing) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience in the
    banking industry at a senior level
  • 10+ years of internal auditing experience overall
  • The role requires a flexible and adaptable management style with experience of staff management.
  • Knowledge and experience of risk management and controls in financial services.
  • Internal Audit Frameworks: Principles of the Committee of Sponsoring Organisations (COSO), and other governance and control frameworks;
  • Professional Standards: International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, supported by proven internal auditing experience;
  • Regulatory: Banks Act, Financial Services Board, Johannesburg Stock Exchange Rules; International Financial Crime Compliance standards;
  • Industry: Banking industry, specifically corporate, commercial & investment banking; and
  • Knowledge of: Global Markets (Treasury, Fixed Income, Equities and Corporate Sales) Commercial Banking.
