    Job Description:

    Bio-Rad is seeking a highly motivated Field Application Specialist to join its Life Science Group. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Proteomics and a strong ability to demonstrate and operate effectively across cultures and with diverse functions.

    The role requires a strategic thinker and effective negotiator who can improve people's lives with products that make a real difference. The successful candidate will work as part of a high-functioning team, supporting Channel partners in Sub Sahara Africa through field-based activities including travel locally and internationally.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure short-term and long-term successful sales results within the application area of Proteomics, including Western Blot workflow, Imaging solutions, Chromatography, and Antibodies.
    • Apply scientific expertise in field sales activities to generate new business opportunities through meetings, demonstrations, seminars, webinars, and training sessions.
    • Provide field application support for customers utilizing available installed instruments in collaboration with Technical Support, Service, and the Sales Team.
    • Plan, perform, and follow up sales activities to target high-value customers and market segments, focusing on Key Opinion Leaders and Key Decision Makers at strategically important customer accounts.
    • Maintain expert understanding of technology and applications within the area of responsibility, sharing and training the sales team while keeping a basic knowledge about the full product portfolio to identify new sales opportunities.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum BSc Life Science or Biotech degree; Master's or PhD preferred.
    • 2-3 years commercial experience in a similar role or sales role within the Life Science / Diagnostics industry.
    • Good organizational and time management skills, strong ability to work independently and in a team.
    • High level of presentation and communication skills, sales experience and/or laboratory experience required.
    • Experience presenting at seminars, workshops, or training an advantage; fluent written and spoken English.
    • Driver's License required.
