    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Stay abreast of industry trends and develop innovative ideas for technical projects.
    • Lead the execution of work as a chief investigator on projects within the Biometallurgy Division.
    • Operationalize processes, improve workflows, and introduce operating procedures at the project level.

    Commercial Responsibilities:

    • Prepare proposals under supervision to meet client expectations.
    • Design, operate, and oversee experimental work in accordance with proposals and ensure adherence to quality control and continual improvement.
    • Collect and interpret data using standard methodologies and prepare analytical narratives.
    • Plan and manage projects efficiently, coordinating with others as needed.
    • Maintain equipment and supplies properly, promote a culture of continual improvement, and adhere to SHEQ requirements.
    • Ensure project teams understand and adhere to all SHEQ requirements.
    • Assess and manage risks at the project level as a Principal Investigator.
    • Responsible for equipment and facilities management.

    Research and Development Responsibilities:

    • Prepare proposals under direct or limited supervision, including Open Call proposals.
    • Conduct routine scientific and engineering research using standard methods and procedures.
    • Perform complex scientific and engineering research under supervision.
    • Contribute to intellectual property development.

    Qualifications and Job Knowledge/Skills Required:

    • Minimum qualifications: MEng or MSc(Eng) preceded by BSc(Eng) or BEng.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in Biometallurgy, mineral processing, or knowledge-based organizations.
    • Understanding of bioprocesses, bioleaching, mine water, waste challenges, treatment, and value recovery.
