    Senior Financial Manager (Group Reporting)

    Title: Senior Financial Manager (Group Reporting)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    We are seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Manager to join our team. Key responsibilities include:

    • Preparation of monthly reports and analysis for executive-level stakeholders.
    • Delivering presentations to the Executive Committee, ensuring clear and concise communication of key financial insights.
    • Management of group and regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
    • Coordinating income tax and VAT submissions, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
    • Overseeing internal controls, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Monitoring risks affecting distribution channels and developing strategies to mitigate potential threats.
    • Development and management of budgets and forecasts, providing critical support to business decision-making.
    • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records through monthly TB processing and review.
    • Review and preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Analysis of daily payments and examination of supporting schedules, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
    • Creation of ad hoc reports and projects as required, leveraging expertise in financial analysis and modeling.
    • Preparation of annual financial statements, adhering to relevant accounting standards.
    • Collaboration with internal and external auditors, ensuring seamless audit processes and addressing any findings or recommendations.
    • Serving as a business partner to distribution channels, providing strategic financial guidance and support.
    • Leadership and management of a team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • A Qualification in Chartered Accountancy (SA).

    Experience

    Prior experience in a technical role with a focus on group reporting and tax/VAT is essential. A background in the insurance industry is also mandatory.
