    Description

    Are you a highly qualified and experienced accountant looking for a dynamic opportunity to showcase your skills and make a significant impact? We have a challenging position that might be the perfect fit for you. Our client is looking for a Financial Accountant.

    • CGISA qualification (with accounting subjects) or a recognized accounting degree
    • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
    • Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and MS Word
    • Familiarity with recognized accounting software; experience with Sage Evolution is a valuable advantage
    • Manage cashbooks, reconcile bank accounts, and allocate deposits
    • Generate invoices for students, members, and the public
    • Assist with trial balances and annual financial statements
    • Contribute to the preparation of management accounts
    • Support the external audit process
    • Assist in compiling departmental budgets
    • Handle VAT calculations, reconciliations, submissions, and payments on a cash basis
    • Prepare schedules for examiner and contractor payments
    • Maintain an up-to-date supplier list
    • Oversee the BBBEE certification process
    • Manage contracts and relationships with external service providers
    • Process payments using Standard Bank's online payment system
    • Handle debit order collections for our members
    • Reconcile ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
    • Keep the Central Supplier Database (CSD) updated
    • Complete and submit vendor forms
    • Maintain effective communication with all relevant stakeholders
    • Respond promptly to financial queries
    • Provide valuable support to the finance manager
