Electrical Power Systems Engineer Role

This esteemed JSE-listed client in Pretoria seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineer to spearhead their electrical power systems expertise.

Main Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance strategy and implement effective maintenance practices.
Develop and manage an engineering asset life cycle management system to optimize operational efficiency.
Establish and review operations and maintenance policies, procedures, and guidelines for enhanced performance.
Enhance the engineering asset assessment system through continuous development and review.
Compile operational training materials to ensure staff proficiency.
Approve designs for building specifications, new technologies, and factory acceptance testing to ensure compliance.
Manage equipment and plant condition reports to inform maintenance decisions.
Coordinate new contracts with detailed equipment instructions, outlining OEM requirements and maintenance strategies.
Maintain accurate database records in SAP through master data management.
Conduct thorough investigations into equipment failures, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide support during breakdowns and site reinstatement activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) or Electrical Trade with National Diploma.
Experience with SAP CMMS is essential.
Familiarity with OHS compliance, SANS 10142-1 & 2 regulations.
A minimum of 10 years' experience in a relevant field.

Remuneration Package

The salary range for this position is R 750 000 - R 1 000 000 per annum.
