Description
Duties/Pligte
- Assisting with HIV research studies;
- Providing clinical support for research studies;
- Collaborating on new and on-going studies;
- Ensuring timely recruitment for all research studies and protocols in order to implement study strategic targets;
- Collaborating with the study team in order to optimise research strategies;
- Partial responsibility for study administration;
- Accountable for study planning and logistics.

- Bied kliniese ondersteuning vir navorsingstudies;
- Samewerking aan nuwe en bestaande studies;
- Verseker tydige werwing vir alle navorsingsprojekte en -protokolle ten einde die studie se strategiese doelwitte te implementer;
- Samewerking met die studiespan om die navorsingstrategieë te optimaliseer;
- Deels verantwoordelik vir sekere studie-administrasie;
- Verantwoordelik vir studie beplanning en - logistiek.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- MBChB;
- At least three years' experience as a medical officer in a research environment;
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) to practise in South Africa;
- Clinical trial experience;
- Experience in managing infectious diseases;
- Experience in the use of antiretroviral therapy;
- Patience and empathy and the aptitude for working with neonates and children;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Good understanding of political, confidential, and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.
- MBChB;
- Minstens drie jaar se ervaring as 'n mediese beampte in 'n navorsingspos of -omgewing;
- Huidige registrasie by die Suid-Afrikaanse Raad vir Gesondheidsberoepe (HPCSA) om in Suid-Afrika te praktiseer;
- Ervaring van kliniese proewe en navorsing;
- Ervaring in die bestuur van aansteeklike siektes;
- Ervaring van antiretrovirale terapie;
- Geduld en empatie en moet dit geniet om met neonate en kinders te werk;
- Goeie skriftelike en mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede;
- Goeie begrip van politieke, konfidensiële en etiese kwessies rondom MIV-infeksie.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- An interest in HIV/AIDS;
- An interest in the community and research skills development;
- GCP experience;
- Computer skills;
- Further education in paediatrics;
- The ability to work well independently and in a team;
- The ability to develop and maintain a good working climate among study personnel;
- Willingness to develop own research projects.
- Belangstelling in MIV/Vigs;
- Belangstelling in die gemeenskap en die ontwikkeling van navorsingsvaardighede;
- Ervaring in Goeie Kliniese Praktyk;
- Rekenaarvaardighede;
- Verdere studie in pediatrie;
- Die vermoë om onafhanklik sowel as in 'n span te werk;
- Die vermoë om 'n goeie werksklimaat onder studiepersoneel te ontwikkeling en te handhaaf;
- Bereidwilligheid om eie navorsingsprojekte te ontwikkel.
