    Job Title: Hotel Duty Manager

    The Hotel Duty Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Front Desk. The primary objective is to provide exceptional service and care to all hotel guests and visitors at all times.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Daily Briefings: Conduct regular briefings with team members to ensure they are well-informed about pertinent information.
    2. Staff Supervision: Manage and supervise tasks assigned to staff to guarantee high-quality service delivery and meet department standards.
    3. Work-Flow Analysis: Review, analyze, and suggest improvements to work-flow and standards at the Front Desk.
    4. Revenue Control: Analyze rate variance reports to ensure accurate rooms revenue control, approve discounts, and rebates.
    5. Communication: Communicate with the Front Office Manager on guest services and hotel operations matters.
    6. Logbook Documentation: Ensure documentation of all guest-related issues using the logbook.
    7. Shift Handover Procedures: Supervise shift handover procedures to maintain continuity.
    8. Inter-Departmental Coordination: Coordinate and communicate with other hotel departments regarding general administration and operations issues.
    9. Guest Handling: Provide management presence by assisting with guest needs and complaints in a tactful and efficient manner.
    10. Front-Line Support: Assist Guest Relations in greeting, rooming, and sending off guests.
    11. Cleanliness and Orderliness: Regularly inspect front of house and back of house for cleanliness and orderliness.
    12. Sales Maximization: Ensure that front-line staff complies with marketing techniques and maximizes sales.
    13. Billing Instructions: Check billing instructions, monitor guest credit, and act upon any discrepancies.
    14. Overbooking and Relocation: Coordinate full-house situations and make necessary arrangements to handle overbooking and pledge relocates.
    15. Driveway Management: Ensure driveways are manned at all times and run efficiently.
    16. Safety and Security: Comply with Safety, Security, and Loss Control policies and procedures at the lobby and driveway.
    17. Emergency Response: Required to make objective decisions and handle complaints and emergencies in a level-headed manner.
    18. Night Audit Process: Conduct Night Audit process for the hotel.
    19. Training and Development: Provide department orientation and training on hotel service standards, procedures, and programs.
    20. Team Motivation: Maintain a work environment that brings out the best in team members, motivate them, and constantly monitor their appearance, attitude, and professionalism.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management
    • Management experience in the hospitality industry

    The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
