- Operate the guillotine shearing machine controls to initiate the cutting process and produce metal sheets to the required dimensions.
- Monitor the cutting process and make adjustments as necessary to ensure clean, straight cuts and minimal material waste.
- Inspect cut metal sheets for quality and accuracy, identifying any defects or irregularities and taking corrective action as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the guillotine shearing machine, such as blade sharpening, lubrication, and cleaning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues or malfunctions that may arise during the cutting process.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Previous experience operating guillotine shearing machines in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with different types of metals and their cutting characteristics.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
