The maintenance technician duties will be and not limited to:

• Electrical and mechanical repair of a large range of food processing equipment.
• Fault finding on PLC's, temperature controllers, sensors, AC/DC drives, machine electrical panels, motor starters, pneumatic systems and motors
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding on processing, cooling and cooking machinery as well as electrical reticulation systems.
• Upkeep of building and grounds
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance work using job cards and maintenance schedules
• Updating maintenance schedules where gaps are identified and planning to affect repairs where deterioration is apparent
• Carrying out modifications on plant and machinery and undertake new installations as required
• Ensuring compliance with OHS regulations and requirements.
• Ability to work independently, but function effectively as a team.
• Ensure that work done by the maintenance team is done according to Woolworths and IBL standards (training will be provided)
• Ensuring water treatment plants are running efficiently
• Maintain generators, air compressors and refrigeration systems
• Building checks weekly and monthly
• Make sure all tools and equipment are properly organized, stored and available
• Ensuring adequate stock levels of materials

Red Seal Electricians Certificate (required)

Must have own vehicle for in the event of a breakdown (required)
Must be willing to work overtime in the event of a breakdown or project

Must be able to work weekends (planned and unplanned)

Must be able to read basic electrical diagrams and schematics

Must be of sober habits

Valid SA ID book
