    Job Description:

    A highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer is required to join our team at Oxyon Human Capital Solutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure designs comply with South African regulations and standards, guaranteeing the highest level of quality and safety.
    • Supervise the construction of structural and civil components to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards, overseeing every stage of the process.
    • Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to resolve any issues that arise during construction, fostering a culture of transparency and open communication.
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards, upholding the company's commitment to excellence.
    • Conduct regular inspections and tests on construction materials and structures, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
    • Develop and enforce safety protocols specific to structural and civil engineering tasks, prioritizing the health and well-being of all workers involved.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure integrated and cohesive project development, driving projects forward with clarity and purpose.
    • Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical team members and stakeholders, demystifying complex concepts and promoting a culture of collaboration.
    • Maintain accurate records of project milestones, changes, and issues, providing valuable insights and lessons learned for future projects.
    • Develop maintenance plans for structural components to ensure long-term integrity and safety, minimizing risk and downtime.
    • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of existing structures, recommending repairs or upgrades as necessary, ensuring they remain safe and functional.
    • Incorporate sustainable practices into the design and construction processes, minimizing environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and contribute to environmental impact assessments, staying ahead of industry standards and expectations.
    • Implement best practices and new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness, driving innovation and progress in the field.
    • Evaluate completed projects to identify areas for improvement, leveraging lessons learned to enhance quality and performance.
    • Implement these lessons into future projects, enhancing the overall quality and performance of our operations.

    Requirements:

    • National Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    • Pr. Eng preferable
    • No less than 8 years of experience within mining, specifically mineral processing industry
