    Job Overview

    The Financial Reporting Analyst position plays a vital role in enabling senior executives to track the Standard Bank of South Africa's performance against its strategic objectives.

    This involves monitoring, collating, and delivering financial reports to facilitate informed decision-making. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist in developing and implementing the Standard Bank of South Africa's financial digital dashboard, aimed at streamlining reporting deliverables.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collate and analyze financial data from various sources to create comprehensive reports
    • Develop and maintain financial models to enhance reporting accuracy and integrity
    • Presentation of financial and non-financial information to senior executives
    • Good understanding of Bank reporting and its financial structure
    • Analysis of financial and non-financial information
    • Report writing and presenting financial and non-financial information
    • Technical knowledge around financial reporting, particularly IFRS
    • Experience in credit risk analysis
    • Financial modelling techniques
    • Ability to critically review and improve models to enhance reporting process, integrity, and relevance

    Requirements

    1. Post-graduate degree in Finance and Accounting or Information Studies
    2. 1-2 years of experience in Financial Insights & Analytics, Finance & Value Management
    3. 5-7 years of experience in: Good understanding of Bank reporting and its financial structure, Analysis of financial and non-financial information, Report writing and presenting financial and non-financial information, Technical knowledge around financial reporting, particularly IFRS, Experience in credit risk analysis, Financial modelling techniques, Ability to critically review and improve models to enhance reporting process, integrity, and relevance
