Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership in development and evaluation of short and longterm strategic financial objectives
  • Ensure credibility of finance function via timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of finance & accounting functions of the company and align to Group requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions within the company as well as with suppliers and customers.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to management and head office.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and comply with IFRS and applicable regulatory laws and rules for applicable company regulation, financial and tax reporting.
  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
  • Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors.
  • Attend and present results at divisional board meetings.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, inventory management, fixed assets, and sales pricing.
  • Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction, establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
  • Monitors financial performance by measuring and analysing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances and negative impact on the business.
  • Establish and maintain a motivated and efficient finance team, geared for customer service excellence and company growth.
  • Maintain a healthy work environment and employee experience together with the HR Manager.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
A recognized professional financial qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, CFA).

At least 7 years experience in Financial Management with a thorough practical understanding of management and financial accounting.

A thorough understanding of reporting and management on goods imports and trading in accordance with IFRS

Experience with ERP packages (ACS Embrace beneficial) & data analytics and strong Excel ability.

Able to lead, monitor & implement cross-functional processes.

Adaptable to different cultures and situations.

Motivated by an entrepreneurial and results-oriented culture.

Supplier & customer negotiation skills and relationships

Work autonomously with a sense of urgency on several projects simultaneously.

Business planning & strategy implementation

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with advanced presentation skills.

Proactive communicator and collaborator; enjoys working in a dynamic, evolving team.
