Key Responsibilities

  • Support the GTM in managing Tax and Tax associated compliance.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary information for tax returns and other taxrelated matters.
  • Examines accounts and records and computes taxes owed according to prescribed rates, laws and regulations.
Provide guidance on tax-related issues and assist with tax planning and compliance for multiple entities within the group.

  • Prepare and submit tax returns of the organisation including Group entities its divisions and/or subsidiaries.
  • Ensures that organisation complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting and other tax authority requirements.
  • Organises and maintains tax records and conducts tax studies and special projects.
  • Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to keep up to date with changes and updates in tax laws.
  • Coordinate with tax professionals within the group to ensure consistency in tax planning and reporting across the group.
  • Proactively research and grow solid understanding of the business operations of each company within the group to identify potential tax implications and opportunities for tax optimization.
  • Ensures that organisation complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting and other tax authority requirements.
  • Consolidating financial statements for the group for tax reporting purposes
  • Assisting with SARS tax audits and investigations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax strategies for the group.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across various stakeholders within the Group.
  • Support the GTM with their daily duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 Years relevant work experience in Corporate Tax
  • Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Honours in Tax would be an advantage)
  • Knowledge of Relevant tax laws and regulations & Familiarity with intercompany transactions
  • Understand VAT & PAYE & understand the tax implications related to mergers & acquisitions within group structure (base cost model)
  • Must be proficient in taxrelated software and MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook etc.)
